The company portal is a central place to access all of the people information within the company. Anyone can use the Employee Directory, to search for any public information on an employee. A new employee can use the org chart functionality to view an up-to-date Company Organization Chart.
It also provides a very easy means of distributing updated company information. You can use the Organization Chart to send out updated notices or the company newsletter.
The sophisticated calendaring functionality will allow you to publish the Statutory Holiday Calendar. The calendar also allows you to see, at a glance, the current Vacation Calendar for all approved vacation requests.

XPERT incorporates some of the most advanced workflow technology available as part of the core capability. This means that all of the standard tasks that normally would have been hand delivered to a manager for signature are now automatically routed to the appropriate manager and then sent back to the employee once an approval or rejection has been determined by the manager.
The entire process and the associated audit trail is documented and kept for 7 years within the HRorg data archives. The Time Management functionality includes every aspect of an employees work week and allows you to manage:
Vacation Time: Allow your employees to create vacation requests based on the amount vacation they have accrued. The requests are forwarded to their managers for approval.
Time-off: Do you want to be able to keep an accurate history of all the time-off an employee has taken or see any patterns? XPERT presents the information in a quick and easy fashion for your analysis.
Time Sheets: It is also important to be able to capture the actual time worked in terms of regular hours and over-time hours. Employees can easily create and submit their timesheets for approval. Once approved, the timesheet data can be put into a format that will allow you to upload to whatever payroll system you use.
Shift Management: You can schedule shifts for your employees. If the shifts are accepted by the employee they will show up in their work calendar. There is no possibility of conflicts with vacation because we manage those overlaps and allow you to make better decisions. If your employees want to trade shifts they can do so on-line and if they find a counterpart, you will be automatically notified so you know who is showing up for work tomorrow.

Generic Policy and Guideline Templates: A library of policies and guidelines is available to choose from. Simply select the policy you would like to apply, make any additional changes you may want and voila, you have reduced your exposure to potential lawsuits or issues.
Company Policy and Guideline Templates: If you have any unique company policies or guidelines, you can upload them to the system to be included in the company handbook.
Company Handbook: A quick and easy function that will allow anyone in your company to print a company handbook - An indexed list of the most recent policies and guidelines that you have identified.
Compliance Monitoring and Notification: A tracking engine that monitors individual employee compliance with the mandatory policies and guidelines.

XPERT easily allows you to keep track of all those small items that are handed out to employees but are worth a lot of money. The AM module provides the following capabilities:
Asset Summary: A tool for employees to view their personal asset assignments. (e.g.: cell phones, uniforms)
Asset Assignment: A standard form to provide managers the ability to record and track the items that have been assigned to an employee (i.e., keys, laptops, cell phones, pagers, ID cards, parking passes, key cards, purchase cards, etc.).
Asset Tracking: The ability to track the company's smaller assets equipment, including such fields as type, make, model, serial number and current assignee.
Asset Recovery: The ability to notify managers that a terminated employee has assigned items, and the ability for pertinent departments to sign off that terminated employees have returned all assigned items.

XPERT's performance management module is built on a world class workflow engine which will alert, track and notify managers of all performance management activities, within the company defined performance management framework. This typically includes:
Performance Evaluation Forms: The PM module has the ability to accommodate different performance evaluation forms for different departments, classifications, or any user-defined criteria. All of the information entered into the forms is not only available to the employees for feedback, but also to the management team to review the overall company trends. If you do not have any forms, there is a library of example forms that you can choose from and customize.
Performance Review Calendar: Based on the company defined performance review framework, the PM module will track all of the necessary performance review activities for every employee.
360 Degree Feedback: In addition to the standard Manager - Employee performance management process, XPERT also allows companies to implement a 360 degree feedback process. This is where, for any employee or manager, a number of subordinates and peers are selected and each of the identified employees has an opportunity to provide constructive feedback.
Incident Management: Incidents are defined as those events that need to be documented, but fall outside the performance management calendar. You can record ad hoc events, review them with employees and keep a history of all events for later reference.

Training Catalog: Provides access to course outlines and schedules, by course topic or vendor, for training. Also can be used for career planning.
Training Plans: Ability to develop individual training plans for employees. Ability to track against individually-developed performance plans, which include skill sets needed to be advanced to the next level.
Training Curriculum: Ability to assign mandatory training to employees (based on information in Position Control) and notify the supervisor and employee of a need for training (e.g. orientation, in- service, safety).
